Installing Custom JavaScript for JIRA through the Atlassian Marketplace

You can install Custom JavaScript for JIRA add-on via the Atlassian Marketplace. This is a two-step process where you first download the add-on from the marketplace and upload it afterwards on you JIRA Server instance.

Download the add-on

  1. Navigate to the Custom JavaScript for JIRA page on the Atlassian Marketplace.

  2. To download a free trial version, click the Free Trial button.

  3. For a licensed copy, click Buy Now.

  4. Log in to your MyAtlassian account and click Generate License.

  5. Copy the license key and click Download.

  6. Save the add-on to your local disk.

Install the add-on

Make sure you are logged in with JIRA Administrator permissions.

  1. Click the cog icon at top right of the screen and select Add-ons.

  2. Navigate to the Manage Add-ons screen.

  3. Click Upload Add-on and select the add-on file you downloaded previously.
    The plugin is installed and displayed in the User-Installed Add-ons.

  4. Enter the license key and click Update.

The Custom JavaScript for JIRA add-on is installed and ready for use.
